Caterpillar's Global Finance and Services Division (GFSD), has an open Accountant position that will support the Indirect Procurement team. Indirect Procurement is responsible for the procurement of indirect materials and consulting services across the Enterprise.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting for the Indirect Procurement team as directed by management.
What You Will Do:
Financial accounting for Indirect Procurement Services business unit results including presentation and explanation of results to management.
Communication and submission of results to corporate. Coordination of purchased services and enterprise rebates coupled with managing the financial inquiries of other business units.
Provide support for the reporting and analysis of facility energy consumption.
Estimating various forecast and budget scenarios as needed to help management understand the financial impact of their decisions as well as running scenarios based on changing business conditions
Indirect savings analysis for various procurement projects.
What Skills & Experiences You Will Need:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
