HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT BUILDING PRINCIPAL

The Wattsburg Area School District is looking for an Assistant Building Principal for Seneca High School.

Shift: Full time

Salary Range: Minimum of $79,285 based on degree(s) and experience, prorated.

Overview:

We are seeking a self-starter to promote the educational development and achievement of each student through the application of leadership, supervisory, and management skills.

· Must be an excellent problem-solver and possess an internal drive to improve the educational process and improve the achievement of students.

· Must be able to implement a disciplinary process that is consistent and equitable for all students.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist the Building Principal in assuring all teachers and service staff are performing their designated duties and to foster the self-development of each individual employee.

· Monitor and implement approved school district curriculum, evaluate existing programs and initiate the development and revision of curriculum.

· Responsible for the existence of a safe, orderly, and positive school climate in coordination with the Building Principal.

· Assist with the development and maintenance of a two-way process of communication between the school and all internal and external publics including students, staff, parents, community and the public.

· Involvement in all aspects of building and equipment usage and maintenance.

· Assistance with assuring all funds allocated to the school are expended within the purposes for which they were intended.

· Respond to all emergencies in a manner that will minimize their effect on the organization.

 

Qualifications:

· Pennsylvania Certificate: Principal K-12

· 5 years of teaching experience

· Strong organizational skills.

· Effective written and oral communication skills.

· Self-motivated and adept at problem solving and critical thinking.

· Ability to work as part of a team.
