ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
* Designs new equipment and materials or recommends revision to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, and other changes to increase production and improve standards.
* Tests selected products at specified stages in the production process for performance characteristics and adherence to specifications.
* Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products.
* Studies time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
* Maintain a clean, organized work environment, and adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
*Other duties as required in support of the department and the company*

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
* Requires technical skills usually obtained by post-secondary education from specialized training or equivalent experience.
* 1+ years in manufacturing, industrial environment, or equivalent experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Active IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification at the manager's discretion and may be specific to work location.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Conversational in any other language preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Interpret and analyze numerical data using statistical methods.
JOB SKILLS
* Computer Software: Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and SharePoint is necessary. Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
* Practical Knowledge: Practical knowledge of machines, production plants, and sites.
* Technical Skills: Understand equipment, systems, and processes.
* Adaptability: Learn many skills on the job.
* Attention to Detail: Accurate documentation and adherence to specifications are essential.
* Collaboration: Working closely with engineers and other team members.
* Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
* Environment: Understanding and experience in a Lean manufacturing environment.
* Projects: Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S-related performance teams.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements outlined below are indicative of those necessary to fulfill the core responsibilities of this position. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Engineering technicians working in manufacturing plants typically find themselves in dynamic environments. They are often stationed on the factory floor, where production processes take place. The manufacturing setting can be noisy, especially near machinery and production lines. Additionally, there may be dust generated during various manufacturing processes. Some manufacturing processes involve the use of chemicals or materials that emit fumes. Technicians may encounter these substances during their work.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
* ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
* Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
* Hearing protection, in specific locations.
* Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
