We are seeking an electrically inclined individual to join the Maintenance team. Ideally, someone in this role will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. We are looking for our new team member to be excited to work with complex machines and be interested in continued growth and education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Thorough understanding of electronic control and automation of production machinery.
Ability to troubleshoot, program, and repair electrical and electronic components of production machinery, such as power supplies, motor controllers, programmable logic controllers, operator interfaces, and automation.
Technical support of work centers for troubleshooting electrical and control issues that adversely affect manufacturing processes.
Ability to direct and work with outside technicians for machine installation, startup and troubleshooting.
Support capital improvement project managers from an electrical engineering standpoint, in specification, design, installation and startup of capital equipment.
Promote and perform preventive maintenance work on electrical equipment and systems.
Perform modification work on electrical equipment and systems.
Perform other electrical maintenance as assigned.
Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations required in NFPA70E
Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Programming and tuning of PID single station controllers.
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent, or 5-10 years of Industrial electrical experience.
Experience:
Licensed Massachusetts Electrician.
3-6 years experience in an industrial and manufacturing environment
SpecificSkills:
3-phase 480V industrial experience.
Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using test equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
Ability to program VFD's preferred.
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC's.
Possess superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Work with limited supervision.
Read & interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Extrusion, Slitting, Conversion background a huge plus
