Job Description:

Essential Functions
  • Uses company knowledge to give proper advice to customer questions concerning equipment selection. Requires intense telephone work with excellent customer satisfaction and communication skills.
  • Provides applications assistance for positive displacement pumps, progressive cavity pumps, pneumatic valves and power generation equipment based on engineering parameters such as flow, viscosity and pressure demands. Requires the ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering principles to correctly select equipment.
  • Works with engineering department to determine engineering requirements for specialty items. May be required to write sales letters and proposals. Will be required to use CRM for quotes and follow up with customers on quoted projects.
  • Requires successful follow through to determine that correct products were ordered and when necessary, manufactured according to customer's requirements.
  • Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in field.
  • Enter orders and other sales data into computer database.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Very minimal overtime is expected.

    Travel

    Up to 10% Travel may be required depending on the need of technical sales support on customer sites.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    4-year Technical Degree with a Business Minor or a Business Degree with a Technical Minor; Very strong communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation; Ability and aptitude to handle competing priorities; strong organizational skills; Time and workload management; Analytical and problem-solving skills; Previous technical/sales work experience a plus.
