Ulteig Engineers has an opportunity for a Project Manager. This will be a challenging role in which you will be involved in the entire scope of projects from initiation through close-out. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out of major electrical utility transmission projects. The successful candidate must have exceptional leadership skills and possess the ability to effectively navigate and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with large projects.
What You'll Do
Provide strategic project management leadership for large and complex electrical utility transmission projects
Responsible for leading projects through all internal and external processes, and navigate the project life cycle
Responsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule, and budget
Accountable for key project decision-making
Manages a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline is meeting the planned project scope, schedule, and cost
Lead the overall project - coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation
Responsible for leading project meetings
Accountable to develop, update and manage the project plan associated with the project life cycle
Coordinate communication and provides status updates to stakeholders as required
Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
Proactively manages project requests for information and action items
Work collaboratively with the Project Controls group to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan
Ensure availability or seeks out adequate resources to support the project
Responsible for ensuring that Ulteig quality processes are adhered to throughout the duration of the project
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Maintains client focus to meet or exceed client expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner
Manage subcontractors - Develop and submit RFP, review SOW, create PO, review received invoices, manage subcontractor EVM
Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule and cost objectives
Demonstrates excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
Consistently produces results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
Achieves results by problem-solving, setting priorities and organization

What We Expect from You
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
5 or more years of utility electric transmission and substation project management experience
Ability to work independently
PMP Certification Preferred
Ability to read and understand contracts
Ability to understand and speak to utility electric transmission engineering design and construction
Experience in Microsoft Project and/or P6 preferred
Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities
Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict negotiation/resolution and stakeholder engagement
Ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with multiple and multidiscipline stakeholders
Ability to travel up to 10% and must be able to travel to project sites as required
Ensure adherence to Ulteig's and client's QA/QC programs
Report, track, and resolve non-conformance issues
Must have permanent work authorization for the US

Additional Opportunity Details: Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $102,900 - $139,200 * Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
