The Bulk Oil Assistant Supervisor assists the Bulk Oil Shift Supervisor in his overall responsibility for the safe efficient operation of the shift.
Responsibilities
Obtain shift priorities from the Shift Supervisor.
Assist in supervising and assigning required work to each Field Operator and Dock Operator on shift.
Issuing and monitoring all department supplies.
Assist in the preparation of all related paperwork.
Enforcing all company procedures and policies and initiating required disciplinary action.
Provide any required direction to ensure all Field Operator and Dock Operators on the shift perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
Assist in ensuring adequate staffing is available for the next shift.
Must maintain a working knowledge of all product pipelines, valves, tanks, piers, manifolds, and jumpers.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1-year prior experience at the facility.
Valid Driver's License
TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials) for access to IMTT's terminal locations.
Skills and Abilities
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Ability to understand written and verbal communication in the English language.
Ability to make decisions in a variable environment.
Ability to communicate with all other terminal departments.
Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).
Hours of Work
Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This position requires overtime and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.
Occasional travel may be necessary, sometimes with little or no advance notice.

Ability to perform climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling and moderate lifting.
Must be able to work in confined spaces, over water and not be afraid of heights.
Ability to wear and use a respirator.
