JOB TITLE: International and Policy Analyst (Advanced)
REQUISITION #: VA-1261-24-PPA CLEARANCE:Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance LOCATION:Dahlgren, VA REPORTS TO:SABG Program Manager FLSA STATUS:Regular Full-Time Exempt
SUMMARY: SABG is hiring a full-time International and Policy Analyst (Advanced) to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Dahlgren, VA
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Will serve as International Affairs staff Lead within SABG, responsible for selection, supervision, evaluations, and timekeeping for SABG staff
Responsible for defining, integrating, and implementing strategic direction for vital International programs
Assess factors affecting International customers and program/project need; evaluate and prioritize resources; and develop recommendations to complex issues
Formulate organizational strategies and action plans to acquire and utilize resources effectively to accomplish the mission
Develop, support and deliver senior executive correspondence, such as decision memos, read-ahead, daily updates, and meeting minutes
Develop programmatic and technical material required for position papers, reports, briefings, testimony, and Congressional inquiries, including aiding in the development of correspondence and overview briefings on political military, security cooperation, and arms control issues and related activities
Work with government entities such as OSD, Joint Staff, and Military Departments
Conceptualize intra and interagency operating procedures, and pertinent aspects of technology transfer, export control policy, and treaty obligations as they relate to Allied involvement in weapons systems with the ability to conceptualize proper technology security considerations
SUPERVISION: This position will have supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS and 10 years directly related to providing leadership, direction, and management of support for the International and Policy and proficient in standards, principles, practices, and processes related to complex weapon systems
Capable of working independently to review, process, and formulate programmatic products for International Programs
Capable of working independently in FMS database systems like DSAMS and SEPT
Capable of defining, integrating, and implementing strategic direction for vital International programs
Capable of working independently to review, process, and formulate International programmatic products
Ability to perform job operations in compliance with organizational goals and priorities and administrative policies, regulations and procedures
Demonstrates high levels of interpersonal skills, organizational, and presentation skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
