Role:
Role Overview: As a Systems Engineer on the Tomahawk Project, you will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle balanced systems of systems and system solutions.
Responsibilities:
Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced systems of systems and system solutions.
Evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
Perform analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
Conduct analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
Support and develop the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
Resolve cross-functional technical issues.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have Secret Clearance prior to start.
5+ years of experience in system engineering.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and mathematical modeling and simulation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing and documenting software system requirements.
Ability to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve cross-functional technical issues.
Top 3-5 Skills Needed:
Develop and document software system requirements.
Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.
Utilize MBSE tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and mathematical modeling and simulation to develop system definitions and perform trade studies in assigned areas.
