In this exciting role as a Quality Systems Program Manager, you will have responsibility for managing Quality Initiatives that directly impact site level KPIs, drive efficiencies in quality processes and procedures, and implement corrective actions through CAPAs to prevent further nonconformances. This role will report directly to the Director of Operations Quality and manage projects that impact the entire Medtronic Energy and Component Center (MECC) site.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that the performance and quality of services conform to established internal and external standards and guidelines.

  • Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and internal regulations to assure compliance.

  • Works directly with operating entities to provide process analyses oversight on a continuing basis to enforce requirements and meet regulations.

  • Leads audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings and liaises with auditing groups and inspectors through all stages of the audits.

  • Prepares reports and/or necessary documentation (ex Corrective and Preventative Actions) and provides to applicable stakeholders, both internal and external.

  • Coordinates legal requests in support of government investigations or litigations.

  • Ensures the quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly.

  • Facilitates uniform standards worldwide and enables best practice sharing, thereby fostering the achievement of company's mission globally.

  • Leading Quality Projects to drive reduction in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through reductions in Nonconformances and Level 1 and 2 Escapes across all Focus Factory.

  • Deploy standard work on how we manage quality KPIs within each Focus Factory through use of threshold limits and development of Action Plans if the limits are met.

  • Identify and support quality system changes that improve the efficiencies in the way we work without increasing overall quality risk .

  • Own and execute Corrective Action and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) that spans multiple focus factories.

  • Facilitates uniform standards worldwide and enables best practice sharing, thereby fostering the achievement of company's mission .

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science or Technical field with 5+ years of experience in Program Management within Quality and/or Engineering OR Advanced degree in Engineering, Science or Technical field with 3+ years of experience in Quality and/or Engineering

Nice to Have

  • 7+ years previous quality engineering experience in medical device industry

  • 5+ years experience in program/project management

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$116,800.00 - $175,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
