SUMMARY:


Responsible for creating monthly dashboards and projecting year-end performance related to the CMS Star Ratings program. This includes collecting monthly data for each Star measure, analyzing historical and current performance trends, and applying anticipated industry shifts and internal improvement efforts to forecast year-end rates. Position is also responsible for maintaining the Star projection model with annual program changes and supporting continuous improvement activities. Position requires extensive experience working within Excel, familiarity with Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.



RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:


  • Collects and analyzes performance data to identify trends and potential data issues.
  • Projects year-end performance based on historical and current trends, known issues or improvement activities, and industry impacts.
  • Publishes monthly dashboards illustrating Star Rating projections for assigned plans, including commentary on emerging trends and drivers of projection changes.
  • Provides support for data analytics and development of presentation materials.
  • Develops documentation, reports and presentations for all levels within the organization including executive leadership.
  • Responsible for trend analysis, report development, ad-hoc analysis and support
  • Develop and present complex analytics concisely for consumption by upper management and Executive leadership
  • Design and implement epidemiologic studies to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously by establishing project plans and objectives to ensure goal attainment within defined parameters
  • Compile data from a variety of sources and conduct analytics using software including Excel, Oracle (SQL) and SAS to support business decisions
  • Knowledge and experience with Medicare Advantage Stars and/or HEDIS data is a plus
  • Ensures complete, accurate and timely data for reporting purposes.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:




EDUCATION:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field. Master's Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or other related field preferred. Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.



EXPERIENCE:



Five (5) years of experience in a related field required to provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.



SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:


  • Strong communication skills are required to understand, interpret, and communicate ideas.
  • Strong knowledge and use of existing software packages (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of data languages such as SAS or SQL
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with employees at all levels.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
  • Administer and adhere to corporate and departmental policies, practices and procedures.


WORKING CONDITIONS:



Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.

PAY RANGE:
"Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $70,400 and $117,800."
