The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services required for production, MRO, and non-production activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a strong understanding of supply chain management.
Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate suppliers for production, MRO, non-production materials, and outside services.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Assure all Production Material, MRO, MRO, Outside Services, Capital purchasing follow approved process with multi-quote and final negotiations to drive lower cost.
Support international communication and transfer of business systems and practices for strategic purposes.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to forecast material requirements.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock and reduce costs.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
Minimize inventory holding costs and reduce waste through efficient inventory management practices.
Generate and analyze inventory reports to provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimization.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
Generate regular reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
Report monthly inventory turns.
Ensure all procurement activities are documented and compliant with company policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
