The Director of Information Technology is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the IT service delivery and IT infrastructure. Provides leadership and management of IT operations, including IT Service Desk, End User Support, Infrastructure Operations, and Security Operations.
Responsibilities * Provide tactical and operational leadership that ensures stable IT operations and high reliability of the technology infrastructure. Influence architectural design based on widely adopted IT standards and recommend associated policies that safeguard the technology infrastructure, protect end users, and support service delivery. * Daily IT operations, concerning the design, implementation, maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of the IT Infrastructure, IT Security, and End User Support services. * Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive IT and security policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance, security, and operational efficiency. * Creates strategic technology deployment and life-cycle replacement plans to ensure the technology systems remain current. * Develop IT service and operations matrixes and continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve IT processes and personnel based on organizational needs and industry standards. * Advise the CIO, senior management, and executives on strategic infrastructure projects such as new construction, major renovations, and other projects. * Advise the CIO on annual capital budget requests and provide input to the annual operations budget process. * Managed services contracts to ensure services are being received and the company is earning value anticipated. * Understand contract language and monitor milestones, goals, and project completion. - - Orchestrate vendor personnel so that operational tasks and strategic objectives are realized.
Qualifications * Advanced technical knowledge of various technologies, such as server virtualization, advanced networking, identity and access management, and high-performance computing architecture required. * Experience with various approaches to infrastructure architecture (such as on-premises, cloud, or hybrid) and their implications for sustainability, business continuity, and disaster recovery are required. * Ability to analyze, understand, and communicate between business requirements and technical design required. * Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills to influence management and internal and external stakeholders required. * Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills, interacting with diverse individuals to secure and provide information to clarify situations, resolve problems, and negotiate services and agreements required. * Ability to demonstrate highly practical, productive, and motivational leadership skills. Ability to actively communicate, inspire, and motivate all levels of staff. * Demonstrated track record of maintaining standards with IT industry best practices and available technology solutions in the marketplace. * Must be able to physically lift, push, or pull up to 30lbs on an occasional basis.
Experience Requirements * Associate degree required. * 10+ years of experience in IT required. * 6+ years of experience in IT management/leadership roles are required. * Extensive project management experience required. * ITIL and IT Security certifications are highly preferred. * Experience with information security frameworks such as NIST or HITRUST - plus. * Experience with CCPA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and Healthcare industry regulations - plus. * Valid CA Driver's License, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation & vehicle insurance.
