We are looking for a Project Engineer to oversee the successful completion of projects from purchase order through manufacturing, testing, shipment, and documentation. This role will act as the main customer interface throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead projects from initial Purchase Order through Design, Manufacturing, Testing, and final Shipment.
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure all deliverables are met on time and within scope.
Customer Interaction:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing questions and concerns during project development, manufacturing, and testing.
Process Change Orders and ensure that any additional invoicing is handled appropriately.
Invoicing and Financial Management:
Oversee invoicing throughout the project stages, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Quality and Support:
Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy across all project phases.
Provide support to the manufacturing team and ensure customer satisfaction through continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively with engineers across multiple disciplines to achieve project goals.
Support the overall organization by taking on miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience/training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing sanitary equipment for the Biotech or Food Industry.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of standard engineering practices, and mechanical aptitude. Experience with Autodesk and MRP systems is a plus.
Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with customers and address their needs effectively.
Problem-Solving: Ability to assess project risks, solve problems, and ensure quality.
Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management software.
