Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to support our Client's Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Joint Ventures (MADJV) initiatives. This role will be pivotal in driving the execution of M&A projects, including the integration and separation of IT systems and applications.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, particularly within the M&A space, and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage the successful delivery of M&A projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
Multi-Project Handling: Manage multiple acquisitions/projects simultaneously, ideally handling 1 large and 2 small projects. Each PM will typically carry 2-3 IT integration projects.
Stakeholder Engagement: Establish strong internal and external partnerships with key stakeholders, building trust and creating a collaborative environment.
Governance and Compliance: Define and uphold project governance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and address project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation plans as needed.
Financial Stewardship: Ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget, maintaining financial oversight and accountability.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with project goals and delivery expectations.
IT Integration: Oversee the integration and separation of IT systems and applications, ensuring security and compliance with organizational standards.
Aggressive Acquisition Support: Support the organization's aggressive acquisition strategy by efficiently integrating newly acquired companies.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of project management experience, with a strong preference for candidates with M&A experience.
Skills:
Strong understanding of project management processes and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
Ability to work independently and hit the ground running with minimal direction.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree and PMP or SCRUM certification are a plus.
