We're currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a leading automotive manufacturer near Elmhurst, IL. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing quality control procedures, improving production metrics, and working collaboratively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to enhance design and production standards.
Base Salary - $90k to $105k

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field (strongly preferred)
3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an assembly manufacturing environment.
Experience in the Automotive Industry standards, particularly IATF 16949 (preferred)
Project management experience, with the ability to lead process development from start to finish.
Proficiency in business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
Familiarity with industry standard equipment and its application in manufacturing.
Strong understanding of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
Ability to identify and lead lean continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
Responsibilities:
Process Development Project Management - ensuring completion from start to finish
Supports product launch activities
Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
Confer with clients concerning product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
