Secondary market-making in Latin America International Corporate Bond Issues denominated in USD
Working in very close partnership with BBVA's fixed income sales teams in New York, Europe, Latin America and Asia to build a first-class customer secondary flow business
Actively trading Latam USD-denominated Corporate and Sovereign bond issues with all the major global credit funds that manage portfolios of Latin American international bonds
Devising and implementing risk management strategies using US Treasuries, Latin American USD bonds and credit default swaps
Meet or exceed predetermined P/L budget expectations
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or Physical Sciences
Minimum 3-7-year experience as a market-maker in Latin American international corporate bond issues in USD working with large global institutional clients
Excellent knowledge of sales and trading protocol
Hungry and highly motivated individual
Very good communication skills
Strong analytical mind
Excellent risk management skills
Strong familiarity with the macro situation of all the major Latin American economies
Fundamental knowledge of corporate credit
Excellent familiarity with all major US Credit funds and London-based Credit funds that manage Latin American international sovereign and/or corporate bond issues in USD
Well known to and respected by major US and London-based institutional investors
Very proficient with Bloomberg, ION Trading, Murex and major emerging markets bonds electronic trading platforms
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses
Fluent in English
Strong experience in teaching and training junior traders a plus

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
