The Front-End Web Development Manager will develop, test and maintain high-quality user interfaces using modern front-end technologies. The ideal candidate will have some design background and be able to translate UI/UX designs into code, producing visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of website applications and be able to ensure optimal site performance, responsiveness, and efficiency.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work with the creative, content, product and technology teams to bring creative experiences to life online.
Optimize websites for different breakpoints using responsive design.
Ensure technical feasibility of UX/UI designs.
Ensure sites function across different browsers.
Run tests to ensure optimal site performance and speed as well as ensuring all functionality is working appropriately.
Responsible for version control: documenting controls, revisions, and source information.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
6+ years of front-end web development experience
HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience
Experience working with visual studio code
Experience working with Git
Experience using Figma, Adobe XD and other Adobe Creative Suite applications
Ability to test and debug websites
Experience working with Bootstrap
Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring appropriate applications adhere to them
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
