Our client is seeking a dedicated Sr. User Experience Designer to join their dynamic team. This remote role is a 12-month contract position, with the potential for extension. Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check and drug screen upon offer acceptance.
As a Sr. User Experience Designer, you will be part of the Content Design team, working closely with experience designers, researchers, and product partners. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our client's customer experiences, bringing our brand voice to life, defining human-centric content strategies, and continuously advocating for improved experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop effective information architecture (IA)
- Interpret and utilize customer data to inform design decisions
- Build strong relationships with product and engineering partners to create effective workflows
- Apply robust storytelling, UX writing, content design, and content strategy skills
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement innovative, human solutions for our search, product list page (PLP), and products details pages (PDP)
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years of experience as a Content Designer, UX Writer, or Experience Designer specializing in writing, or 8+ years in a related role
- A deep understanding of how to create effective information architecture (IA)
- The ability to interpret and use customer data to make design decisions
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Robust storytelling, UX writing, content design, and content strategy skills
Preferred Skills:
- 2+ years of experience working in e-commerce or other large design environments
- Experience envisioning, defining, and modeling end-to-end, multichannel experiences
- Skilled in balancing an Agile work environment with a cohesive and holistic view of the customer journey
- Basic understanding of designing for WCAG 2.1/508 accessibility standards
