Summary of Duties: Opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys working independently and being part of a valuable team that is fast-paced and streamlined to address business growth, daily business operations, and environmental issues. Candidate will provide emissions reporting and data systems support to Kinder Morgan's natural gas business unit, operations and engineering departments. Position will be filled as EHS Engineer or EHS Specialist commensurate with experience and skills.
Position can be based in Houston, Texas; Denver, Colorado; or Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities Include:
Support management of emissions assets and parameter data used in GHG emissions calculations, including development of standard procedures and workflow
Conduct routine GHG data analyses for quality assurance
Work closely with IT project teams to develop data interface and emissions calculations tools for various source types
Interface with IT to implement enhancements or troubleshoot issues with data systems connect to GHG emissions calculations
Review trends in emissions data and offer insights on trends and potential reductions
Review period over period emission data and provide in-depth variance explanations as to increases or decreases
Complete and submit greenhouse gas inventories and ESG reports in accordance with federal regulations and corporate guidelines.
Track and interpret greenhouse gas regulations and advise management on future potential and likely concerns and issues.
Compile and analyze various ESG emissions data sources and deliver the data in a meaningful format
Compile and provide GHG emissions data to internal and external partners as requested
Proactively plan, organize, and oversee assigned responsibilities.
Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of job performance.
Monitor schedules, budgets and evaluate the work of third party air contractors
Travel as required; anticipate travel will be up to 20% time away from the office; motor vehicle and air travel anticipated.
Carry a company-provided cell phone and respond during working hours and non-working hours as required.
Position Requirements
Position Requirements: Education Requirements: BS or BA in Engineering, Physical or Environmental Science, or related field Required Skills/Knowledge:
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in data systems or air quality
Working knowledge of greenhouse gas and criteria air pollutant emissions calculations
Strong spreadsheet skills required, including ability to review and analyze large data sets, and pivot tables
Proficient in using standard word processing, and database software, including Microsoft Office suite
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to interact across multiple business units, including, but not limited to: other employees, all levels of management, vendors, agencies, and customers with courtesy and professionalism.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Perform multiple tasks with strict and completing deadline, successfully.
Able to work efficiently in a team environment while also being able to work autonomously, as needed, to successfully perform the required and expected duties with minimal direct supervision.
Capable of taking directions from supervisors (s), adhering to required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules.
Working Conditions:
Based in Houston, Texas; Denver, Colorado or Colorado Springs, Colorado
Option for traditional or 9/80 schedule
May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed and remotely.
The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
Experience with database management
Experience with data analysis
Strong diagnostic skills and logical thought processes with the ability to identify and resolve data acquisition issues is a plus.

Pay range: $85,100-$190,800 per year. This position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan. Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill set.
