The Marketing Events Coordinator is an experienced event marketing professional who is responsible for supporting the operations of the event team including strategic execution of industry and hosted events. In this role, the successful candidate will be deliberate, data driven and deliver exceptional execution of event activations.
Responsibilities:
Support events from a marketing operations lens by:
Creating and managing the build of campaigns and workflows for all events in CRM and lead tracking platforms
Building pre, during and post event emails at the request of the event managers, gain event manager approval, and send emails based on deadlines provided by event managers
Pulling and prepping all event data points from managed platforms including emails, lead capture, etc. for post event reporting on key metrics, KPIs and benchmarks
Maintaining the integrity of the event data in CRM, lead tracking platform and other managed platforms
Coordinating and shipping requests for promotional items for attend only events, raffle winners, gifts, etc. as requested the event managers
Overseeing the day-to-day inventory of promotional items and show properties, coordinate with event managers if promo items are low, and communicate with properties vendor to reorder stock and track properties
Source and contract hosted event venues under the approval of the event manager
Secondary responsibilities include coordinating logistical and tactical needs for segment specific industry events and Zelis hosted events as assigned, including but not limited to event budget management, invite strategy and execution, logistics, contracting, venue management, transportation, content management, onsite experience, production and AV, sponsorship and booth activations, pre- and post-conference campaigns and communications
Follow event best practice guides and templates for both industry and hosted events
Partners with the Marketing Operations Coordinator on budget and vendor management processes, including new vendor submissions, and legal and finance agreements.
Provide on-going evaluation across each event and membership and how to adapt for Zelis' current, and future revenue generating and brand positioning needs
What you'll bring to the team:
Understanding of how events support the full customer journey, including both revenue generation and brand building
Experience managing external and hosted event engagements and sponsorships
Proficient with MS Office programs and related marketing/ communications technologies - Hubspot and Cvent are not required, but a plus
Education + Background:
Minimum 2+ years of marketing event experience
BS Marketing, Business, or related degree
Healthcare (tech) experience preferred
Strong communication/writing skills (including some copywriting)
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proven history of being both strategic and analytical in prior roles
Travel up to 15% of the time
