In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and daily operations of all system interfaces, designing and building enterprise-level software that powers our critical operations. Your expertise in systems analysis, program design, coding, and documentation will be instrumental in creating efficient and innovative solutions that enable Vitalant to serve communities nationwide.

As a Sr. Interface Developer, you'll get to:

  • Design and implement innovative integration solutions to meet business needs.

  • Ensure best practices in database coding, data retrieval, and security standards.

  • Lead integration of database applications with reporting tools and external data sources.

  • Oversee database and application upgrades to maintain system efficiency.

  • Provide strategic technical leadership to the database, interface team, and enterprise.

  • Manage interface recovery processes and enforce robust security measures.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and build professional networks.

  • Assist with budget development and monitoring.

Requirements

Knowledge/ Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Knowledge of Oracle and SQL, language, utilities, and database applications required.

Knowledge of interface development required.

Knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques, structured programming, ASP.net, VB.net, C#.net, SQL Server 14, Transact SQL query language, HL7, JavaScript, VBScript, VB 6.0, MS Access, MS Excel, XML, Iguana, EDI using ANSI standards required.

Experience

Five years' experience with EDI, API, HL7 as well as RESTful API, JSON and an understanding of FHIR for HL7 and EDI transformations or similar interface experience, preferably in health care or related field required.

Strong knowledge of database technologies and tools including Oracle, SQL Server, and all other desired database servers required.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL required.

Familiarity with ITSM concepts and processes required.

Experience with object-oriented programming techniques and/or microservices architecture structured programming preferred.

Experience with interface engine architecture such as Corepoint, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Iguana preferred.

Knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Javascript preferred.

Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to follow SDLC processes from requirements to implementation.

Ability to analyze functional problems and develop sound effective solutions.

Ability to manage multiple differing level priority projects.

Well versed in both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.

Ability to collaborate with business and IT partners to solve business challenges.

Strong presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Strong supervisory skills with the ability to effectively utilize and develop personnel to execute job tasks.

Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to plan and organize a diversified and heavy workload.
