The
Department of Health Informatics & Information Management (HIIM) at Texas State University invites applications for one non-tenure line faculty position at the rank of Clinical Associate Professor. This is a full-time position beginning Spring 2025 on the Round Rock, TX campus with a nine-month academic year appointment and possible summer employment.
Duties and Expectations:
As a member of the graduate faculty, assist the department chair and faculty colleagues by coordinating new program development, curriculum updates, and interfacing with other university departments and accrediting organizations. Teach health informatics courses on topics that may include clinical informatics, health information systems, health information statistics and research, data analytics, information governance, health information security, health care delivery systems, health information services management, or other relevant content areas. Faculty members are expected to participate in curriculum review and development, assist with student advising, and participate in service activities at the department, college, university, and professional levels.
All positions are subject to the availability of funds. The selected candidate will receive the appropriate rank based on college and university regulations.
