How Will You Make An Impact?



We are seeking a skilled and aspiring IT Senior Manager - Global Template Owner for the SAP FICO (S4/HANA) module at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. You will work closely with business partners, IT teams, and external consultants to craft and lead our global SAP financial and controlling template.


Your main responsibility will be to ensure alignment with business processes and financial goals, supporting our mission to enable a healthier, cleaner, and safer environment.



Key Responsibilities



Template Design and Governance:


Liable for the Architecture of the global template to ensure consistency and alignment with business objectives.


Build and uphold global standards, policies, and confirmed methods for our Business partners. Along with ensuring the template supports legal and regulatory requirements across different regions.



Implementation and Rollout



Coordinate and build a known solution in S4/HANA across all business units and regions.


Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure successful deployment of the template.


Deliver mentorship and support during the testing, training, and implementation phases.



Collaborative Engagement



Act as the main point of contact for all SAP FICO-related matters.


Partner with colleagues to understand their requirements and translate them into SAP FICO solutions.



Continuous Improvement



Be accountable for and evaluate the performance of the SAP integration points and identify areas for enhancement across the organization.


Stay updated with the latest SAP finance features and functionalities and suggest improvements to the template.


Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and system performance.



Support and Maintenance



Provide ongoing guidance for the SAP business teams.


Fix and resolve issues across multiple applications.


Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to ensure the stability and reliability of the system.



Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - Financial Accounting with SAP ERP) is an added advantage!


• 8+ years of experience in SAP FICO with at least 4+ years in a global template or similar role.


• Expertise to include General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO). Month end, quarter end and yeard close activities.


• Self evident experience in crafting and implementing global SAP FICO templates.


• Facilitating interaction and outstanding ability to efficiently collaborate with colleagues at all levels.


• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects along with tiles.


• Knowledge of integration points between SAP FICO and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PP).


• Experience in a multinational corporation with complex financial processes.


• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.


• Positive and can do demeanor.

• This position may require occasional travel to various business locations.


• Flexibility to work across different time zones as needed.
