Goochland Powhatan Community Services announces a full time opening, for the position of Outpatient Clinician. As a Clinician at GPCS you will
Provide integrated behavioral health services to individuals served and their support system including.
Evaluation and assessment of needs, Treatment planning
Outpatient individual therapy/family therapy
Psychoeducation and psychotherapy groups
Care coordination.
Provide services in a variety of settings to include an outpatient clinic, or via telehealth.
Carry a caseload that is diverse in varying ages, abilities, needs and MH/SUD clinical presentations.
Actively participate within a multidisciplinary team through the CSB including case managers, peer recovery specialists, nurses, and psychiatry services to help address recovery from a holistic perspective.
Successful candidates will posses
Master’s degree in a Human Services field (i.e., social work, counseling, etc.).
Knowledge of mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
Experience working with children (preferred).
Thorough working knowledge of the DSM criteria.
Experience working with persons with severe mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, and co-occurring disorders.
Excellent organizational, communication and documentation skills.
Computer skills including use of an electronic health record (preferred).
Experience with group psychotherapy (preferred)
The starting salary is commensurate with education and experience and starts at $63,000 for license eligible and $70,000 for licensed. Supervision can be provided towards LCSW, LPC and for Registered Play Therapist accreditation.
