Position: Senior Data Scientist
Job Location: 680 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Execute analytical projects from start to finish, including cross-functional project management, data collection and manipulation, analysis and modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations. Build scalable and complex supply chain models and processes to optimize supply chain strategies to deliver an excellent customer experience while balancing operating cost and asset efficiency. Leverage insights gained from the above to influence executives (Sr. Director and VP level audience) on path forward. Develop solutions to improve existing business processes within supply chain, utilizing methods such as statistical analysis, regression modeling, and optimization. Identify areas of opportunity and influence execution of results via cross-functional participation to enable quick wins and continuous improvement. Communicate results across multiple stakeholder groups to build relationships for future initiatives. Create and deploy robust metrics and dashboards to enable tangible transformation. Work independently to manage multiple projects while ensuring deadlines are met and data output is accurate and appropriate for the business. Deal with ambiguity and make independent decisions about what data and approach is best for the task at hand. Communicate with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics related field.
Skills required: Experience analyzing, manipulating, or processing large sets of data using statistical software. Experience applying feature selection algorithms to models predicting outcomes of interest. Experience cleaning and manipulating raw data using statistical software. Experience comparing models using statistical performance metrics. Experience creating graphs, charts, or other visualizations to convey data results using specialized software. Experience delivering oral or written presentations of the results of mathematical modeling and data analysis to management or other end users. Experience identifying business problems or management objectives that can be addressed through data analysis. Experience identifying relationships and trends that could affect the results of research. Experience recommending data-driven solutions to key stakeholders. Experience testing, validating, and reformulating models to ensure accurate prediction of outcomes of interest. Experience writing new functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses. Experience using Python, SQL, Tableau and Power BI to manipulate and visualize data insights. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $138,911/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
