Job Summary
This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of functions including the following: preparing shipping documents, accepting payment, basic typing, and word processing, answering calls, customer relations, etc. This individual will also address product questions, sales orders, order tracking, quotes, and quality solutions to delivery needs. Sustaining the high-level customer rapport with fast-paced and accurate service levels is key to the success of this position. This position is responsible for dispatching trucks with outbound deliveries and scheduling backhauls as needed, coordinating with the sales department, answering phones as needed and maintaining accurate records. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction for the business by providing support, guidance, proper follow-up and resolution to client inquiries or issues.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare delivery tickets and related shipping documents
Check and review all orders assigned before they are shipped against delivery tickets
Work closely with truck drivers to ensure delivery date/times are accurate, D.O.T. compliance with load weight and secure loads are met
Accurate record keeping of each truck entering/leaving the site as well as the weight of all materials entering/leaving the site
The position uses computers, spreadsheets, and databases
Strong information storage and filing skills are required
Some work may include analyzing data and making various computations
Experienced accurate data entry and document handling - Categorizing, filing, and maintaining ship ticket copies for audit purposes and file all customer records
Coordinate deliveries with trucks and customers to ensure delivery time accuracy
Plan and schedule effective delivery routes and work with trucks to cover loads efficiently
Ensure timely quotes are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
Strong customer service skills
Assist customer with product questions, ordering, order tracking, complaints and issues
Utilizing Salesforce to track quotes Proactively work with and manage house accounts to grow relationship and increase revenue
Utilize Salesforce to create and manage opportunities related to house accounts and team quotes
Send leads to house accounts and follow up
Coordination with Sales Manager as needed
Coordinate shipping to job sites for commercial projects
Enter orders into system for billing and delivery
Answer incoming calls
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Willing and able to cross-train on other aspects of the customer service process

Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in related function
At least 1 year of related experience
Computer skills in Microsoft Excel & Office Suite, Word, and Outlook; Cloud, Salesforce experience preferred, M3/H5 Lawson experience a plus
Mathematical and communication skills
A proven safety record as well as a history of being a team player
Must be able to work without direct supervision
Ability to multi-task, answer phones and enter orders
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Detail oriented, good organizational and problem-solving skills
May require occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Walking and standing for long periods of time
Ability to climb flights of stairs throughout the day
