The Clinic Assistant is an essential member of the Student Health team serving as a welcoming medical staff member for students. Clinic Assistants maintain clinic flow by providing medical support and associated care to patients of the CHWB Student Health Services. Prepare patients for provider visits by bringing the patient to exam room, and collecting and recording their chief complaints, vital signs, medications, allergies, and other relevant information. Provide information to students, parents/guardians, faculty, and staff about health services offered, and how to access care. Answer questions regarding charges related to CHWB services. Support in management and maintenance of online appointment scheduling. Responsible for promoting an inclusive environment for students and staff of all races, ethnicities, religious, national origins, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and ages. Responsible for supporting the mission and philosophy of the CHWB, Division of Student Affairs and the University of Vermont.
High School Diploma and two years of medical office experience required. Effective verbal and written communication skills required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness required.
Current State of Vermont LNA license or Certification as a Medical Assistant from a qualified program desirable.
$23/hr to $28.30
Bargaining unit position, Background Check required for this position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees
