Job Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Casualty Facultative Broking team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in New York, Atlanta or Chicago. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:



  • Analyze data and broking of reinsurance solutions that address client needs


  • Respond to client and reinsurer queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly


  • Leverage internal capabilities together with actuarial and catastrophe modeling professionals to develop best-in-class reinsurance analytics


  • Liaise with contracts and accounting specialists to ensure flawless client servicing


  • Develop relationships and engage with new business prospects


  • Activate existing sales strategies and help develop new sales initiatives





What you need to have:



  • Bachelor's Degree


  • 7+ years of casualty facultative reinsurance experience


  • Strong interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining relationships and interactions with colleagues, clients and reinsurers


  • Adept at prioritizing workload according to volume, urgency, timelines, etc.





What makes you stand out:



  • Experience in sales and/or underwriting in the insurance, reinsurance or related financial services sector


  • Basic understanding of insurance and/or reinsurance concepts and terms, including Statutory accounting


  • Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) or other related insurance professional designations

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.


The applicable base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $275,000.


The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
