This position is responsible for insuring that all equipment and process are capable of producing acceptable quality products in a FDA regulated manufacturing environment. Responsible for the maintenance of facility property (buildings and grounds). Maintain equipment through the utilization of technical knowledge and skill set to solve equipment issues according to production goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Machine and fabricate tooling, fixtures and ancillary equipment to optimal productivity from drawings/sketches. • Responsible for the repair, install and maintenance of plant (electrical and non-electrical) equipment. • Responsible for the repair, install and upgrade of the facility's compressed air and pneumatic systems. • Responsible for the repair, install and upgrade hydraulics systems • Responsible for the repair, install, and upgrade facility's HVAC (Heating Ventilating Air Conditioning) Systems • Responsible for the repair, install and maintain and upgrade electronic equipment • Responsible for performing millwright work • Responsible for performing carpentry work • Responsible for welding (Gas and Arc) • Responsible for the completion of plumbing assignments • Completion of PMs are required • Maintain a clean and safe working environment. • Ensure the necessary safety features and guards are installed on all equipment. • Set up, adjust, and monitor the parameters and settings on all production equipment to ensure consistent product quality. • Maintain all manufacturing equipment and tooling as outlined by our company's SOPs. Add new equipment to the maintenance log and record results of checks as outlined. • Perform facility maintenance on plant and equipment as required. • Prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and tooling. • Participate in design of new equipment/tooling as required. • Initiate new process improvements. • Monitor and record environmental conditions (i.e.: temperature, humidity, and pressure.) • Monitor and record clean room classifications.
• Qualify new processes by means of performing validation testing. • Maintain good interpersonal relationship with all other employees. • Monitor shop workload and ensure ample manufacturing supplies are on hand at all times. • Assist, partner and act as a resource for other technicians. • Actively participate in project teams, representing the maintenance department in a professional and cooperative manner. • May perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience

Skills/Knowledge
• Demonstrated experience with strong knowledge in the following: compressed air and pneumatic systems, hydraulics systems, HVAC (Heating Ventilating Air Conditioning) Systems, electronical, welding, millwright, carpentry and plumbing. • Ability to read equipment drawings. • Ability to write and communicate effectively • Good Mechanical and hands-on skills for assembly and disassembly of equipment. • Ability to interface with internal and external customers. • Ability to read, write and compute basic math • Ability to take direction • Self-motivated, flexible and cooperative • Excellent hand and eye coordination • Demonstrated decision making skills and effective problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read and interpret a variety of customized blueprints • Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office • Exceptional interpersonal skills • Strong organizational skills • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
