Ensures equipment is running properly after turning on power and notifies the lead person or Supervisor of any mechanical problems
Ensures all logs to be sawn are up against log stop
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Follows the guidelines for grooming/debarking logs
Ensures consistent bark flow through conveyors to the boilers
Helps correct problems if vat tender is not kicking logs in the vats
Assist with maintenance when needed
Keeps cull blocks cleaned up off yard
Sweeps up veneer and sawdust with a push broom
Picks up scraps of veneer with shovel, rake or by hand
Uses down time as clean up time
Follows Company policies, procedures and safety rules
