About the Role



We are seeking an experienced Logistics Professional with a strong background in import/export regulatory compliance, HTS product classification, and global operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across various modes of transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Transportation Management: Handle all modes of transportation including truck, rail, intermodal, ocean, and air.


• 
  Regulatory Compliance: Maintain working knowledge of IATA and ensure compliance with US Customs regulations and company SOPs.


• 
  Collaboration: Work with other departments on product classification, registration status, and Safety Data Sheets.


• 
  Vendor Relations: Build and maintain trusting relationships with vendors and team members.


• 
  Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with company freight policies and customer/product-specific exceptions.


• 
  Documentation: Prepare and assemble all necessary documentation for international shipments.


• 
  Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipments from origin to destination and resolve any discrepancies promptly.


• 
  Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• 
  Experience: Minimum of 8 years in global operations, warehousing, transportation, and logistics.


• 
  Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.


• 
  Certifications: CSCP certification is desirable but not required.


• 
  Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with import/export compliance, including CFR 19, CFR 15, and CFR 49.


• 
  Product Classification: Proficiency with HTSUS and Schedule B for product classification.


• 
  Dangerous Goods: Experience handling the shipment of dangerous goods, both domestic and international.


• 
  3PL Operations: Familiarity with 3PL warehouses and operations.

Preferred Skills

• 
  ERP Systems: Experience with MS Dynamics, Oracle, or other ERP systems.


• 
  Regulatory Requirements: Strong understanding of DOT, IATA, DG, and Maritime shipping requirements.


• 
  Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights.


• 
  Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite products.


• 
  Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.


• 
  Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.


• 
  Independence: Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
