Primary Purpose:

Manage all subsurface processes for the CO2 Source fields including production surveillance, capacity planning, and expansion project development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage a multi-disciplinary subsurface engineering team to monitor production performance, plan for future production capacity needs, and develop expansion projects.

Oversee reservoir studies and interface with shared service groups for development of geologic and reservoir model

Work effectively with engineering team and field operations to develop tools and processes to improve CO2 field production surveillance

Manage budget plans and AFE preparation for expansion projects and well operations.

Communicate expansion project requirements to regulatory/EHS, facility, and well operations support groups and consolidate their schedule and cost estimates into project development plans

Responsible for staff development and performance management

Position Requirements

Education:

B.S. Engineering or Geosciences Degree

Experience / Knowledge:

10+ years of experience with an oil and gas company

Previous experience in gas field primary production development

Previous experience in project development activities including generation of technical documents such as AFE's, economic analysis, and presentations to leadership

Familiar with well drilling, completion, workover, and flow testing practices

Knowledge of Geologic concepts

Broad knowledge of field production operations including gathering, separation, and compression

Demonstrated initiative and results oriented team member skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Competencies, Skills and Abilities:

MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint strengths)

Aries petroleum economics

OFM well and reservoir analysis software

Physical Demands:

Work safely in an office setting with occasional visits to observer field production operations

Work Conditions:

KM Corporate headquarters in Houston, TX

Up to 25% travel to field and regional offices in Cortez, CO and Midland, TX

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Ability to communicate effectively and manage the performance of an engineering team

Preferred education, experience, certifications, skills and abilities:

B.S. Petroleum, Mechanical engineering degree preferred

P.E. Petroleum Engineering preferred

Previous CO2 flood or production field development experience

Demonstrated history of field surveillance process and tool creation

Other responsibilities:

Support planning and development of Captured CO2 Sequestration projects in the Gulf Coast region
