Job Description:

The Overlay Therapeutic Sales Specialist (OTSS) - Cleveland/Columbus, OH will play a critical role in the successful launches of Arcutis Biotherapeutics and its portfolio of products. This strategic and highly collaborative role will be responsible for launching, promoting, and driving demand for Arcutis’ newly branded dermatology products in targeted specialty physician offices across an assigned geography. This position is located in the Cleveland or Columbus, OH areas.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate demand for Arcutis products and maximize product awareness by engaging with dermatology targets within assigned geography through regular in-person and minimum virtual interactions to deliver scientific and clinically focused communications.
  • Strategically create and maintain a geography business plan to ensure optimal account coverage and impact across all assigned territories to achieve or exceed given geography and national sales objectives and goals
  • Collaborate with 2-3 territories Therapeutic Sales Specialist and cross-functional partners to ensure an aligned approach to the achievement of business objectives, to include proactively addressing customer needs, identifying market dynamics, and developing strategies to achieve common goals.
  • Develop, maintain, and leverage a high level of product, disease state and market access knowledge to promote the appropriate use of Arcutis products to key customers and have demonstrated ability to help others do so
  • Organize and execute territory and national level promotional programs and activities
  • Provide exceptional customer service through total account management, including marketing resources, product access, reimbursement, and on-label medical questions
  • Represent the company in a professional, compliant, and ethical manner, upholding the Arcutis Operating Principles, which are key to the organization’s culture
  • Adherence to compliance (company and governmental policies, procedures, and regulations) and safety/health protocols established by the company

REQUIREMENTS

  • Understands, analyzes, and effectively communicates scientific and technical information in compliance with applicable pharmaceutical sales regulations, guidelines, and policies

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical sales experience required, 3+ dermatology experience with established relationships strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success launching new products/indications required
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple internal, cross-functional stakeholders to meet the needs of customers.
  • Demonstrate proven ability to be a self-starter, strong work ethic, and drive with a passion for patients and education prescribers on innovative solutions
  • Proven experience selling complex products in a highly competitive environment
  • Startup experience desired
  • Valid Driver's License and a safe driving record
  • Ability to travel daily within assigned geography, including meetings, training events and programs as necessary
  • Overnight travel will be required 25-50%, based on territory needs, which may overlap with 2-3 territories
  • In addition to the above qualifications, internal candidates must be in the top 50% of sales ranking and/or have demonstrated the ability to grow business and influence others within and beyond the scope of current territory and be in good standing.
