Cybersecurity Hardware Integration and Test Technician

Contract Position
$46.71 -$51.71/Hour

Responsibilities:
Assemble, configure, and test hardware components, including servers, switches, KVMs, and related equipment in both classified and unclassified labs.
Organize cabling and interconnections within test racks and ensure external lab connections are properly installed.
Build and configure servers using COTS and GOTS software, as well as switches and network components.
Support lab planning activities, including layout, power, and cooling, while coordinating with facilities teams to meet lab requirements.
Manage equipment and property tracking, including movement, repairs, RMAs, and vendor coordination.
Generate Bills of Material (BOM), place hardware orders, and monitor lead times for delivery.
Conduct informal and formal tests to validate testable requirements and analyze testing results.
Assist in developing test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
Install and troubleshoot IA software at various test locations.
Support engineering teams in resolving hardware issues and failures.
Analyze requirements documentation to develop effective testing methods.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent (4 years of relevant experience). Requires 5+ years of additional job-related experience; or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience assembling and testing computer equipment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., UDP, TCP/IP, ICMP) and encryption techniques.
Basic Linux command-line knowledge.
Experience:
5+ years' experience with Submarine Combat Control Weapon Systems or 10+ years of experience in hardware integration, testing, or related fields.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Ability to read C, C++, and Java source code (helpful but not required).
Cybersecurity certification and work experience in cybersecurity are a plus.
