Job Description:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and update Bill of Materials vs. Product Specifications
- Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle-count/physical inventories
- Prepare and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer type and by division using Blackline software
- Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies regarding cost analyses and profitability
- Prepare, analyze and report monthly gross margin analysis by customer and part number
- Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory, inventory roll forward
- Maintenance and development of accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT
- Assist in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 reviews
- Work on special projects as required
- Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others
- Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Ability to perform essential function of the job typically acquired 3 or more years of related experience
- Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Principles &
Cost Accounting Standards
- Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data
gatherings and analysis
- Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
- Good written, verbal, communication and collaborative skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Products
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
