Job Description:
As an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) Analyst for the Integrations team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of complex integration solutions.
Working alongside Developers, Solution Architects, Scrum Master, you will enhance testing strategies, implement best practices in test automation, and contribute to the overall quality of RESTful APIs and microservices used for data exchange with internal and external systems.
Your expertise in automated testing will be instrumental in supporting the entire software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
Duties
Design and develop robust automated test frameworks for RESTful APIs and microservices.
Implement and maintain automated tests to validate integration points, functionality, and performance for complex systems.
Work closely with Developers and Solution Architects to define, create, and execute test plans, strategies, and scripts.
Perform code reviews and provide feedback on test automation and quality best practices.
Identify, document, and track defects and work collaboratively with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
Conduct performance testing to ensure stability and reliability of integration endpoints in high-transaction environments.
Develop and execute regression tests as part of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in test automation, including tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in software testing, including test automation and quality assurance in an Agile environment.
Proficiency in designing and implementing automated test scripts for RESTful APIs.
Strong programming skills in at least one language commonly used for test automation (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java).
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and testing principles, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, or REST Assured.
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, AWS Code Pipeline).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and troubleshooting issues effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a cross-functional Agile team.
