The successful candidate will be responsible for the care of patients on the Cardiac Surgical Service, under the general supervision and direction of the Cardiac Surgeons. Responsibilities include participating in daily rounds with nurses, other Advanced Practice staff, residents and multidisciplinary caregivers; performing bedside diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, participating in the development and implementation of care plans, coordinating tests and consultations, implementing treatment plans, communicating with referring physicians, performing patient education, and preparing patients for discharge, all while keeping Surgeons updated as required.
