Alliedstar is a pioneer in the dental industry, specializing in innovative intraoral scanner technology. Recently acquired by dental industry leader, Straumann Group, Alliedstar is positioned to disrupt the market and continue to challenge established manufacturers with its cutting-edge products.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Sales Manager to accelerate Alliedstar’s growth in the US and Canada. This role is crucial to expanding our market presence, building relationships with strategic partners, and driving sales of our innovative dental technology products. The successful candidate must have a solid background in dental sales specifically in dental technology products (intraoral scanning sales experience preferred), exceptional communication skills, the ability to learn and adapt quickly to market needs, and travel extensively within the US and Canada. This is a remote/field based role.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve ambitious sales targets and grow Alliedstar’s presence across the US and Canadian markets
Channel and Partner Relationships: Build and maintain productive relationships with channel partners, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and stakeholders to increase brand recognition and loyalty
Customer Engagement: Engage directly with customers, conduct presentations and demonstrations, provide education-training-support, and gather insights to refine and adapt sales strategies
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, product, and training teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and brand initiatives
Market and Industry Insight: Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities; provide feedback to drive product and strategy improvements
Sales Training and Support: Support and coach channel partners to improve product knowledge and effectiveness, leading to a best-in-class sales experience
Event Representation: Represent Alliedstar and the Straumann Group at industry conferences, trade shows, and events to promote products and build professional networks
Performance and Reporting: Monitor and analyze sales metrics to track performance, refine strategies, and report progress to senior leadership
Team and Partner Development: Provide guidance and support to indirect team members and partners, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture
Travel extensively within the US and Canada, and on occasion, other regions to support partners and attend industry events
Other responsibilities and needed and directed
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years recent sales experience selling digital dental technologies in the dental industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree
Experience in the intraoral scanner space and track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire, engage, and influence diverse audiences
Experience in strategic sales planning and market analysis; ability to make data-driven decisions
Ability to navigate complex sales scenarios, handle challenges with a positive mindset, and adapt to change
Knowledge of digital dentistry and an understanding of the needs and workflows within dental practices and channel partnerships
