Position Summary:

The Department of Urology is hiring a full-time Research Administrative Specialist to provide administrative support to the Research and Clinical Trials Divisions of the Department. This position will be responsible for managing the complex and varied tasks associated with supporting the Department's Research and Clinical Trials team members.


This position offers administrative support to principal investigators (PIs) and their research teams. Responsibilities include general administrative tasks such as scheduling, grant preparation, correspondence, requisition processing, and travel arrangements. Additionally, this role involves program coordination for one or more of the Department's research and/or clinical trial programs. Duties encompass organizing program meetings, disseminating program information, facilitating interactions with consultants and advisors, coordinating program events and guest speaker presentations, and supporting the development of research proposals.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.


Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.


Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Prior experience as an administrative assistant in higher education and/or healthcare setting. Ability to establish and achieve work related goals. Knowledge of the University's and Department's programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with state and federal rules and regulations.
