Job Description Summary
The Associate Director, Operations and Global Career Readiness, reports to the Director of Graduate and Alumni Career Development (GCD), Pulsifer Career Development Center, supporting the career success of graduate students and alumni, while offering broader support to the global efforts of the Strategy & Innovation Division (SID). This is a new role focused on operations management and global career readiness related to driving career outcomes and process management in support of the GCD’s mission and delivery of its three mission objectives: (1) prepare and provide access to relevant global career opportunities and employer relationships, in partnership with our Employer Relations, (2) deliver relevant resources, career education, and programs for upskilling, in partnership with our International Student Specialist, and (3) support graduate students and alumni that maximizes global career impact.Essential Duties:
Operations: The role will support the Director in identifying opportunities for continuous performance improvements of the GCD and SID. This role will develop strategies to manage and optimize use of the 12twenty platform for all constituents (internal and external colleagues, students, alumni, and employers).
Work closely with the temporary role of 12twenty Technical Integration Manager during the implementation and integration phase of 12twenty and in developing parallel usage processes for Handshake and other relevant GCD systems.
Partner with the Director of GCD to develop into the department’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for 12twenty. Identify, develop, recommend and implement platform processes as usage of the platform evolves.
Assist Director and team to develop best practices to encourage/ensure quality data input from coaches, students, employers and alumni and integrated platforms, including effective communication and education plan.
With the Director, develop graduate student onboarding plan and support execution.
Be an integral and collaborative member of the team influencing our optimal and equitable use of the platform.
Global Career Readiness: This role will take a lead role in supporting SID’s global strategic endeavors and the development of GCD’s global perspective, understanding, and student preparation and offering alumni career connection and support. Will work closely with Director and other team members and take the lead on:
Providing career coaching to develop understanding and global employability competency baseline within the graduate student population.
Incorporating global business development within our employer relations strategy and with alumni connection.
Developing an in-depth understanding of global opportunities within 12twenty and offering the team and SID a global market and employment understanding.
Develop programming for global upskilling to position all graduate students for career success.
Work collaboratively with Employer Relations and International Student Specialist and other GCD and SID members to coordinate efforts and inform.
Minimum Qualifications
Program or project management experience. Organized and detail oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and persuade and educate constituents.
Global initiative, perspective, understanding or employer relationships and experience in international markets indicated, or demonstrated.
Demonstrated affinity for tech and career management CRM usage or solutions, capable of developing into SME of 12twenty.
Mentoring, training, or coaching experience within an organizational setting.
Growth mentality.
Ability to develop and present process and plan improvements and then execute.
A problem solver motivated to support constituents such as students, employers, team members and university colleagues.
A collaborator across teams and departments, demonstrating an inclusive excellence approach and openness to an evolving DE&I journey.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of transferable skills from professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Global experiences living and working within non-USA markets preferred.
High level of technical experiences preferred.
Experience with recruiting, higher ed career services, work force development, or human resources preferred.
Exposure to career management platforms, such as 12twenty, Handshake, Symplicity, or GradLeader preferred.?

All staff follow a collaborative remote/in office work schedule.

Evening and occasional weekend work required.
