Purpose
The IT Systems Support Lead ensures the smooth operation of our organization's IT support and customer/end user facing operations and infrastructure. They act as a support team lead and supervise the day-to-day operations for support services and helpdesk.
Main Responsibilities
Assist IT Manager with server and network infrastructure related installation, administration and support
Higher level support related to user accounts, computers, mobile devices, MFP/copiers, and printers
Ensures data availability, security and continuity
Assists with server and infrastructure software and OS updates and maintenance
Supervises and manages helpdesk ticket load and support priorities
Second and third tier support
Oversees IT related assets and related vendors
Specific Duties
Oversees day-to-day management of support related tickets and issues
Be an IT support staff mentor and provide further guidance when needed
Works closely with vendors and contractors on IT related initiatives and project execution.
Assists IT Manager in planning, researching, and executing IT related projects
Assists and performs system updates, security fixes, and patches
IT documentation and training materials
Adheres to compliance and privacy standards
Ensure systems adhere to security policies and best practices
Maintains a full IT support presence while primarily onsite, and offsite
Provides data collection and analysis for IT related systems
Provides timely responses to all issues, updates internal customers on status, and troubleshoots issues
Stay on top of future technology, industry standards, and trends
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a technology focused area. Alternatively, a special combination of experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments will be evaluated and accepted by Delta Star.
At least 10+ years of active IT related experience
3-5 years of team leadership experience
IT related certification, a plus
Experience with documenting internal policies, project requirements, and change management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Networking experience, knowledge, and troubleshooting skills (LAN, WLAN, WAN, Internet)
Familiarity and understanding of Windows Server services such as DNS, AD, DHCP, NPS, and Group Policy
Continual focus and initiative to enforce security policies to safeguard data and systems
Strong time management skills with the capability to recognize and place priority to multiple projects or systems support related issues
Ability to visualize IT issues while supporting remote systems, networks, and users
Basic knowledge of Windows and Azure Active Directory services, Exchange, SharePoint administration
Have a an understanding of security in Microsoft Windows OS and SharePoint
Have a working knowledge and understanding of virtualized platforms and environments
Familiarity with Autodesk (CAD) software, Adobe Acrobat, PowerBI/Automate, SharePoint, a plus
Basic scripting, automation, and software development skills preferred
Have a basic working knowledge of Mac OS and Linux based OS
Understanding of Cisco Communications systems (VOIP)
Demonstrated project and team leadership skills
Self-starter and can self-motivate
A passion for IT, finding solutions, and continuous learning
Ability to prioritize a security focused approach
Able to consistently demonstrate customer support excellence
