The Village of Gresham, Nebraska is seeking applicants for a Village Clerk/Treasurer. This full-time/part time position, plans and supervises the work involved in maintaining official Village documents, and records including proceedings, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, agreements, etc. This position assists in finance related activities, and operations of the Village of Gresham, to promote open and transparent governmental services.
Qualifications: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Good oral and written communication skills required to effectively communicate on a daily basis with elected, and appointed officials, as well as, Village employees and the public; have a high degree of organization skills, required to effectively administer Village programs; ability to learn and interpret rules, regulations, laws and ordinances; good supervisory skills; ability to be bonded. Experience with computer software including Microsoft Office, internet/web and data entry; ability to carry out arithmetic procedures. Good customer service; ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time; ability to work up to, but no more than, forty (40) hours per week; ability to type form copy at a rate of forty (40) wpm. Candidate must have a valid driver's license.
Wage and Benefits: Qualified candidate will work 32-40 hours per week, will earn between $18-$25 per hour, determined by applicants experience, and receive a $200 per month stipend for insurance of their choice.
