Job Summary/Basic Function:
Marshall Center staff provide support and services designed to positively impact the success and retention of students of color. We also work to engage the broader campus in learning around DEIB. Staff actively contribute to campus-wide examinations of race, equity, and social justice. The Assistant Director collaborates with campus partners to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting intercultural and first generation students, and a holistic approach to academic and cultural programming. They work on programs designed to support student success including an Early Arrival Program, the Intergroup Dialogue series, First Generation student success, mentoring and heritage month programs. The Assistant Director will utilize an intersectional analytical framework for the development of programs, training and workshops. Participate in committees that enhance the overall climate for minoritized students.



Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three or more years of experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in higher education or a related field
  • Three or more years of experience in a related field

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.

The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for this position is $50,000 – $60,000.
