We seek a passionate, innovative, and experienced High School English Teacher to join our vibrant faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with motivated students in a collaborative and inspiring environment.
Position Summary The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of English literature and composition, an understanding of the developmental needs of high school students, and a commitment to fostering a love of reading, writing, and critical analysis. The High School English Teacher will plan, teach, and facilitate student learning. The High School English Teacher will create a positive learning environment and maintain academic progress records and discipline. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to enhance the educational experience of our students.
Key Responsibilities: Teach a range of English courses to High School students.
Develop and implement creative, challenging, and engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking and academic growth.
Foster a classroom environment encouraging active participation, inquiry, and independent learning.
Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work, offering guidance and support for improvement.
Collaborate with fellow teachers in the English department and across other disciplines to design interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
Serve as an advisor to a small group of students, offering guidance and mentorship throughout the academic year.
Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Valid NE Teaching certificate or the ability to obtain one with the appropriate
endorsement(s).
Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
Strong knowledge of English literature and language curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.

Excellent written and verbal skills.
Strong organizational skills.
