SUMMARY
The Infection Prevention Associate (IP-A) supports the RRH Infection Prevention staff in developing and implementing the infection prevention program for the assigned area, including ambulatory and potentially hospital or long term care settings. Duties will be assigned as necessary to help meet the department's goals

ATTRIBUTES
Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or other health related field required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Policy Development and Review. Review of sterilization and disinfection practices. Participates in infection prevention policy development, review, and revision using current standards of practice. Participates in development and provision of in-service programs related to Infection Prevention for the organization in collaboration with lead Infection Preventionist.
Risk Assessment. New practice site visits and data collection for assigning risk assessment scores. Participation in Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) reviews. Under direction of Infection Preventionist leader, monitors and evaluates patient care activities to identify methods, techniques, equipment, supplies, new products or specific procedures which may constitute an infection risk. Assists with investigations of clusters of infection in collaboration with a lead Infection Preventionist.
Education and Training. Under direction of Infection Preventionist, provide education and in-services to staff. Supports educational activities for Infection Prevention liaison committees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $60,500.00 - $72,500.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
