Description: Our client is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team!



Scope of Role:

Location: Kissimmee, FL


Hours: 8am to 5pm M-F


Job Engagement: Contract



This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Assist the physician with injections and EKGs.


• Prepare charts, room patients, scan/fax records, handle phone intake calls, and perform other duties as assigned.


• Organize, stock, and clean exam rooms.


• Telephone and in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge


• Provide data reporting and tracking on HEDIS Measures


• Process referral authorization requests for patients


• Performs all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required


• Medical Assistant Certification


• Knowledge of medical terminology required


• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required


• 1-2 years of customer service experience


• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
