Job Description:

The Manager of FP&A, Biosciences will provide financial leadership for the North America Business Operations for Mosaic Biosciences on operational and strategic initiatives and provide the financial analysis necessary for decision support. This person will analyze monthly and YTD financial results and add value by proactively identifying and analyzing issues and opportunities and communicating them to the applicable leaders.



What will you do?



  • Provide financial leadership and decision support to business partners to drive strong financial performance / value. Recommend financial strategies to leadership to influence decision making enabling them to make sound, effective and informed operational management decisions to achieve business unit financial goals and drive improved profitability. Deliver insightful financial analysis and highlight business issues, risks and


    opportunities to the Operations Support Function Leaders so they can make effective and informed decisions to achieve functional goals, manage and control annual spend, and improve effectiveness and efficiencies. Challenge and support business partners to achieve financial targets. Lead Strategic cost reduction initiatives for support functions.


  • Lead and participate in the preparation and analysis of Biosciences NA annual budgets (and five-year plans as applicable), including associated bridge analyses reconciling the current year actual to the upcoming year budget. Provide ad hoc financial and analytical decision support to business partners. Facilitate / support other process improvement activities.


  • Automate Business Processes leveraging SAP enabling prioritization and cost reduction while improving functional efficiencies. Assist in transition from Quickbooks to SAP, including ensuring all mapping is correct, for this acquired entity.


  • Ensure adequate sox controls are in place to minimize or eliminate SOX Controls deficiencies. Special projects as requested by leadership or business partners.


  • Provide financial analysis for special projects, cost studies, and operational reviews as required by senior management.




  • Evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, including new product launches, facility expansions, and process optimization efforts.


  • Identify and recommend improvements to financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, especially within the manufacturing domain.


  • Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to provide financiais insights that drive decision-making and continuous improvement.





What do you need for this role?



  • Bachelor's degree required with major in Finance or Accounting


  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience


  • Working knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations.


  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to internal controls.


  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced Excel skills Experience/knowledge of SAP Proficiency with Microsoft Access
