Job Description:

The Assistant Technical Designer will partner with the cross-functional team in developing product from initial concept through fit to production. This position will contribute in successfully translating the product design and style vision into a consistent fit and quality level through application of blocks, accurate specification packages, and assisting with fit session management. This role will support meeting overall product engineering, IMU, and quality goals within calendar deadlines.


 Responsibilities:  



  • Contribute to the technical design process, including fit, patterns, grading, fabric, construction, and manufacturing

  • Participate in fit sessions, including taking detailed notes for others, photos, working on your own product

  • Assist in sample processing and writing fit comments

  • Use PLM to create, update, and maintain accurate and complete specifications

  • Build and use your knowledge of 2D and 3D software for pattern corrections and maintenance

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive the development process

  • Maintain daily communication with vendors


 Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, apparel production, or textiles with 1-2 years of relevant apparel industry experience preferred

  • Basic knowledge of apparel fit, patterns, grading, fabric, construction, and manufacturing

  • Basic knowledge of PLM, 2D, and 3D software

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
