Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide direct executive, administrative, and analytical support to the College of Information Dean and Associate Deans; responsible for special projects, budgetary activities on occasion, purchasing, correspondence, travel arrangements, calendar maintenance, and communication from the Dean. This position also provides planning and organizing of administrative functions and workflow operations for the college regarding its operations, procedures and guidelines, project management, event management, and records management. Advises the Dean and college employees of UNT policy updates and directives to ensure best practices are met. This position requires occasional work outside of an 8-5 schedule for events.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and five years' of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced MS Office skills. Knowledge and experience with accounting/budgeting procedures. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing at an exemplary level. Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others. Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively. Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness. Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships with individuals and teams. Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with UNT procedures and policies. Excellent communication and follow-up. Ability to learn and adapt to new technology. Ability and strong willingness to travel and interact with various stakeholders as needed, both individually and in groups at campus as well as at external locations.
